I used to live in Isla Negra, a small town from the central coast. There are no more than 1000 people living there.
When I was 18 I had to move out and come to university in Santiago. It was a really big change in my life because now I live in the middle of the center and life rhythm is a lot of different.
I like the city, but I think it's because there are some things in cities generally that I like. But pollution, selfish people everywhere, the unavoidable noise, and a lot of other disgusting things are something I still can not get used to.
Anyway, the fact that I live in the center is a privilege, because this is a hard place to live if you have to move a lot. Spatial segregation is a terrible thing and the mess that has become the growing of the city makes it worse: people travelling one or two hours for getting their jobs in a transport where they don't fit in.
Santiago is fun, but it's hard, specially for people who don't have much money, like every place in this fucking capitalism.
